Apple recently releases iOS 11.0.3 update for devices (Apple iOS 11.0.3 update released). It is seems to be the third release update from Apple in three weeks. And predictably rushing out upgrades means iOS 11.0.3 has also started to cause problems.
iOS 11.0.3 for?
- Compatible with iPhone 5S or later
- iPad mini 2 or later
- The 6th generation iPod touch or later
Compatible devices are notified automatically about the iOS 11.0.3 update, but should that not happen for whatever reason it can be triggered manually by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
Its a minor update release and about 300 MB. Interestingly this brings the total size of Apple’s iOS 11 releases to approximately 3GB in three weeks.
What Do You Get?
Apple’s iOS 11.0.3 release notes list fixes for two specific problems:
- Fixes an issue where audio and haptic feedback would not work on some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices
- Addresses an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone 6s displays because they were not services with genuine Apple parts

And with this update raised one issue as iOS 11.0.3 downloaded but will not install on major iPhones. That means device will download about 273 MB of update and when trying to install getting the error message. From some users from Apple community, telling like
“To apply any update, you need enough free storage to build a new system image, which is over 3 GB. This is temporary space, which is released as soon as the new image is installed. You may need to update using a computer.”
