How to Fix “Critical Process Died” Error in Windows 10

Solution 1 – Run SFC Scanner

  1. Right-click on the Start Menu button, and choose Command Prompt

  2. Enter the following line, and press enter: sfc/scannow

  3. Wait for the process to finish

  4. Restart your computer

Solution 2 – Run an antivirus program

A malicious software will also cause the change of your system files. So, if running the SFC Scanner didn’t help, head over to your antivirus and completely scan your computer for all malicious and suspicious programs.

Solution 3 – Uninstall the latest update

Some users have reported that they found out that the latest installed Windows 10 update actually causes the problem. That way, you’ll also receive an update you had to uninstall because it caused you BSODs.

Solution 4 – Download the latest drivers
