Pierce Arrow Motor Car Company
Pierce Arrow Motor Car Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Buffalo, New York, which was active from 1901 to 1938. Although best known for its expensive luxury cars, Pierce Arrow also manufactured commercial trucks, fire trucks, camp trailers, motorcycles, and bicycles. The company failed in its attempt to build a steam powered car in 1900 under license from Overman, but by 1901 had built its first single cylinder, two-speed, no-reverse Motorette. In 1903, it produced a two-cylinder car, the Arrow.
Hyundai Motor India rolls out 7 millionth car
From coming to India as a totally unknown brand to becoming India’s second largest car manufacturer is a feat to be recorded in the history books. And still continuing to make history, Hyundai just rolled out its seven millionth car from the Sriperumpudur plant in Chennai. HMIL rolled out its first million car, a Santro, in 2006 just 8 years after commencement of commercial production in 1998.
Renault Samsung Motors Rolls
The French carmaker, which bought a 70% stake in Samsung Motors back in 2000 to spearhead the brand’s expansion efforts in the developing Asian region, said the SM7 will have a “radical effect on the big saloon car market”. Since then, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has expanded its product line up to include an extended wheelbase version of the Phantom sedan, a Phantom two-door coupé and Phantom convertible version and the less expensive Ghost four-door sedan and Wraith two-door coupé.
