Features Of Ford Escape

The Ford Escape has been one of America’s best-selling small crossover SUVs. Ford combined the styling and four wheel drive capability of a traditional SUV with the size, practicality and driving characteristics of a midsize car. Later Ford Escapes have most of the same attributes but dispense with the rugged style of the early models in favor of a more modern look. They’re also more refined inside and out, better equipped and generally more enjoyable to drive. Inside, the cabin is handsomely styled, with high-end materials and excellent build quality. Every seat is comfortable, especially the roomy rear seats. The Escape offers a decent amount of cargo space for the class, so you’ll have plenty of room for all your stuff. A hands-free power liftgate is available, which is unusual for an affordable compact SUV. Several rivals earn higher safety scores than the Escape. The Escape gets a typical predicted reliability score for a compact SUV.

Classy Cabin

The front seats are nicely cushioned, though a bit narrow. Optional power-adjustable front seats will make it easy for you to find a comfortable driving position. There are a lot of different pieces and shapes that make the interior look a bit busy when you first get in. The Escape comes with gray or black interior finishes.

High-Tech Infotainment System

You can stay connected with loved ones while on the road thanks to the Escape’s standard SYNC system. It uses Bluetooth and a USB port to connect your phone to the car’s audio system. Once connected, you can use your voice to answer or make calls and respond to text messages. You can also play music that’s on your phone by saying what song you want to listen to.

Engine Power

The base Ford Escape S is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 168 horsepower. If you’re using the Escape as a commuter car, you should be satisfied with the engine’s power driving around town. There are more powerful engines available if you plan on taking your Escape on long trips, or if you want quicker acceleration. A six-speed automatic transmission comes standard, and it makes smooth, well-timed shifts.
