Fuchsia – by Google

Google has not explained too much what the Fuchsia operating system is destined for. However, digging around online brings up a few things. Fuchsia uses a different kernel than Android or Chrome OS.Every operating system developed by Google to date has one thing in common: they’re based on the Linux kernel. Linux has powered Google hardware for years.But the Linux kernel not suited for all situations like car dashboards or GPS units.

The most obvious guess, and the most exciting, is that Google hopes to one day replace Chrome OS and Android with Fuchsia. But perhaps Google will treat Fuchsia like Samsung treats Tizen OS; a lightweight OS used on hardware not suited for full-blown Android.
