Pandya’s 78 moved India to Number 1
Hardik Pandya’s 78 Runs helped India to chase the decent target set by the Australia in the third ODI in Indore. The win moves India to the number one spot on the ICC Ranking. South Africa and Australia are in the second and third positions.
Australia scored 293 runs in the first batting. Aaron Finch made 124 runs in his comeback Innings. Moreover the captain of Australia Smith supported Finch with a good partnership in the beginning. Australia was targeting a score of 320 to 350 and lost rhythm int he final overs. Along with that the struggling lower order of the Aussies made the job easier for Indian Bowlers. As a result the score limited to 293.
India started well in the chasing with Rohit Sharma(71 runs) and Rahane(70 runs). Finally Pandya’s 78 and Manish Pandey’s 36 runs given a 78 runs partnership at the end and made the chase easier for India.
