Ties to the American Legislative Exchange Council
Arizona Public Service Company has previously been a corporate funder of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Arizona Public Service Company Announces Executive Changes
Arizona Public Service Company announced changes in its senior leadership team at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. Jack Cadogan, currently Vice President, Nuclear Engineering, has been named to replace Bement as Senior Vice President, Site Operations. Bob Bement has been appointed Executive Vice President, Nuclear and will continue to report to Randy Edington, Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer.
APS and AES Energy Storage Bring Energy Storage to Arizona Customers
Arizona Public Service is bringing battery-based energy storage to the desert through a 4 megawatt energy storage agreement with AES Energy Storage which will provide enough storage capacity to power 1,000 homes. The batteries will deliver energy to customers at the time of day when electricity is in demand and expensive. By bringing energy storage to these areas, APS can maintain reliable service for solar customers, even when the sun is down and solar panels are no longer producing power.
Arizona’s Energy Future Rate Review
APS has filed a request with the Arizona Corporation Commission for our first rate review in five years. The proposal seeks to replace a decades-old rate structure with modernized pricing and will enable us to continue investing in what customers have told us they want including:
