Director Sachy Passes Away at 48

Film director, script writer, and producer K.R. Sachidanandan, popularly known as Sachy, died at a private hospital Trissur on Thursday. He was 48. He had co-scripted many films with Sethu and later started writing solo scripts. His directorial debut was Anarkali in 2015. He scripted hit films including Driving Licence, Ramleela, Seniors, and Run Baby Run.

Sachy died on 18 June 2020 following a cardiac arrest at Jubilee Mission Hospital, Thrissur. The cardiac arrest was due to the complications following the hip replacement surgery done at Palakkad, a few days before his death.

Sachy co-founded the film production company Thakkali Films with his friends Biju Menon, Shajoon Karyal, P. Sukumar and Suresh Krishna, and produced the comedy film Chettayees in 2012.

“RIP Sachi etta! Feels like we met just the other day while Varane Avashyamund and Ayyapanum Koshyiyum dubs were going on simultaneously at the same studio. Your innings as a director made you a force to reckon with. I was such a fan of your work. Each film better than the other. A huge huge loss to our industry. Condolences and prayers to all those who loved you and knew you,” Dulquer Salmaan said via Twitter.

Dil Bechara – Trailer release

Dil Bechara is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama film which is the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra.

The trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara released on July 6. The film, which is set to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 24.

Mukesh Chhabra launched the film in October 2017, making his directorial debut and announcing that it is the film adaptation of John Green’s 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars, with Sushant Singh Rajput as the male lead.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide at his residence in Mumbai on June 14. His demise has left a deep dent in his family and close friends’ hearts.

Dil Bechara was slated to release in theaters on May 8, but it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In March 2018, A. R. Rahman was confirmed as the music composer. Later, newcomer Sanjana Sanghi was selected opposite Rajput and Sony Music India acquired the music rights, with Amitabh Bhattacharya as lyricist.
