Google Pixel 4a Vs iPhone SE Comparison

Published

on

The Pixel 4a and iPhone SE are two of the best cheap phones yet. Here we are comparing budget smartphones from Apple and Google to determine which device has the best camera, design, software, performance, and battery life. This has been an abundant year for wallet-friendly phones with impressive performance and specs. Apple and Google, for example, launched smaller versions of their marquee handsets, and the iPhone SE and the Pixel 4A are affordable alternatively. To see which phone is a better fit for you, here comparing them in terms of camera, design, software, performance and battery.

Pixel 4a Vs iPhone SE

Pixel 4a

Google Pixel 4a is finally here and although it has arrived a few months behind its rumored scheduled, many are eager to buy one during these trying times. How much has been done to improve the Google-fixed budget Pixel 3a from last year? Well, last year’s formula was quite successful that Google didn’t need to change it up too much. In fact, it lowered the price and doubled the storage. In fact, after spending a week with the Pixel 4a, I personally wouldn’t hesitate to choose it over the new iPhone SE. While the iPhone is more powerful and has conveniences like wireless charging and water resistance, Google’s midrange offering tops Apple’s in several other areas, including a larger and brighter OLED display, more modern design, and double the storage out of the box. As with all Pixel phones, there’s no microSD expandability here, so having all that space available from the get-go is certainly useful.

Design

If you’ve seen Google’s Pixel phones in recent years, you know they don’t tend to take risks in terms of design. At a time when Mountain View’s competitors began churning out devices with minuscule bezels, massive multi-lense cameras, and hole-punch front-facing shooters, the latest Pixels have been rather pedestrian in terms of their appearance, only distinguished by unique materials, finishes, and colorways. And so it’s hardly surprising that the Google Pixel 4a looks a lot like Pixel 4, but cleaner and lighter, with slimmer bezels and a plastic-clad chassis replacing the pricier phone’s combination of glass and metal. thankfully the pixel 4a still manages to feel satisfying solid, thanks to a matte texture that’s pleasing to the touch. The square camera patch on the back seems a little silly, especially considering the Pixel 4a only features one lens and the LED flash, though at least the camera array is smaller, and dare I say cuter than the one on the back of the flagship Pixel 4. Rather than an in-screen fingerprint sensor, the pixel 4a has the rear-mounted capacitive Pixel imprint scanner of old, which I actually prefer to newer optical and ultrasonic solutions. There are two things I really appreciate about the pixel 4a’s design that deserve callouts. First is the headphone jack, the inclusion of which still isn’t lost on me all these years since most phone makers have abandoned it. The second is the presence of stereo speakers, which is especially impressive
given that the pixel 4a lacks prominent top bezel of the Pixel 4.

Apple iPhone SE

Though its the cheapest iPhone you can get new, the iPhone SE offers a lot of what the premium iPhones also have. Apple iPhone SE was launched in India 15th April 2020. Although Apple has offered Face ID on all of its Newer phones for the past couple of years, the new iPhone SE 2020 users a Touch ID sensor underneath the display for unlocking the device. This same sensor can be used for authorizing App Storage downloads, Apple Pay, and entering the passwords. A 4.7-inch screen on a modern-day phone may seem antiquated, but those shopping for one of the best small phones won’t be disappointed in this panel. I generally like the iPhone SE’s design with one expectation. On the plus side, it’s a very well made handest with the same sturdy glass-and-aluminum design of the iPhone 8.

Price
iPhone SE (2020) price in India starts from Rs 35,999.

Both of these phones are fantastic for their mid-range prices. if you’re a fan of Android and want a device that does it all while retaining a modest price, the Pixel 4a delivers. The iPhone SE does the same thing save for the fact that it runs iOS. That’s ultimately what this all comes down to Both the Pixel 4a and iPhone SE are easy recommendations -it’s up to you to decide which operating system you prefer. We could nitpick endlessly about the Pixel having a better camera or the iPhone has a better processor, ut at the end of the day you’ll be happiest with the phone that has the software you prefer.
