OnePlus is a Shenzhen-based start-up and producer of smartphones founded in December 2013. The company’s claim to fame is its bid to offer flagship-level specs in its smartphones, at affordable prices. OnePlus initially sold its smartphones only through an invite system where customers would be sent an invite to purchase smartphones and they had to make the purchase within a fixed time frame. Of late the company has held open sales of its smartphones too. OnePlus’s latest mobile launch is the Nord. The smartphone was launched on 21st July 2020. The phone comes with a 6.44-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2400 pixels.

The OnePlus Nord is powered by 2.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and it comes with 12GB of RAM. The phone packs 256GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the OnePlus Nord packs a 48-megapixel (f/1.75, 0.8-micron) + 8-megapixel (f/2.25) + 5-megapixel (f/2.4) + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 32-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The OnePlus Nord runs Android 10 and is powered by a 4115mAh non-removable battery. It measures 158.30 x 73.30 x 8.20 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 184.00 grams.

OnePlus Nord is arguably the most hyped smartphone of 2020. But it is not without problems. The company has been seeding system updates to this handset ever since it released to fix issues. Currently, the phone has begun to get its seventh update in the form of OxygenOS 10.5.7. This update is said to bring a number of improvements.

The OnePlus Nord is sold in almost all regions where the brand has its presence except for the US and China. Therefore, the new update for the device comes only with three different build numbers.
