Redmi Note 9 5G series Expected to Launch on November 24

Redmi Note 9 5G series is expected to launch in China on 24 November. Though there is no official confirmation by Redmi on the launch date of the Note 9 5G series, but tipster Abhishek Yadav revealed the date on his Twitter. The Redmi Note 9 5G series is expected to come in two variants. As per the tipster, Redmi Note 9 5G with Dimensity 800U will cost CNY 1,000 (approximately Rs 11,300), while Redmi Note 9 5G with Snapdragon 750G and Samsung HM2 108 MP will be priced somewhere around CNY 1,500 (approximately 16,955).

Earlier this month, Redmi Note 9 5G and its Pro variant surfaced on TENAA, confirming the specifications of the upcoming smartphones.

The expected price

A report that surfaced last week revealed that the Standard Edition will launch with a price tag of CNY 1,000, which roughly translates to Rs 11,300) while the High Edition is said to be priced at CNY 1,500, which is roughly around Rs 17,000).

The Redmi Note 9 price in India starts at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage model. The Redmi Note 9 Pro India price starts at Rs 12,999. The company also launched Redmi Note 9 Pro Max under the series which starts at Rs 15,999.

Redmi Note 9 5G series expected specifications

Last week the TENAA website revealed some of the key specifications of the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. According to the listing the Redmi Note 9 5G will come with a model number M2007J22C, a 6.53-inch full-HD+ IPS display, MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage and triple rear cameras with 48MP primary sensor.

The same listing revealed that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will come with a model number M2007J17C, a bigger 6.67-inch full-HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB storage and a 108MP primary rear camera sensor.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Xiaomi M2007J22C is vanilla Redmi Note 9 5G. The smartphone will come with a CPU that goes up to 2.4 HZ. It will have three RAM – 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB and three internal storage options – 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.

The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.53-inch LCD screen with 1,080 p resolution. The device is expected to obtain power with a 5,000 mAh battery.

As for the camera, the phone will have a 48 MP primary sensor, and for selfies, it will come with a 13 MP camera.

Another phone in the series, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G goes with the model number M2007J17C and looks very much similar to the Mi 10T-Lite 5G from the rear. The phone is expected to have Snapdragon 750G chipset and RAM is likely to go up to 12 GB coupled with 256 GB internal storage.

The Redmi Note 9 5G series is said to launch in China. For now, there’s no point to launch a 5G device in India given the country is yet to be 5G ready. The company is yet to officially confirm the launch of the upcoming Redmi phones. So, take this report with a pinch of salt. Past leaks and rumors suggested that the Redmi Note 9 5G series will come packed with MediaTek and Qualcomm processors. The series is expected to include two models as mentioned — Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. It is said that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be called the Redmi Note 9 High Edition while the Redmi Note 9 5G will be launched as the Redmi Note 9 Standard Edition. OnePlus Nord 2T 5G was launched in India today and comes as a slight upgrade to the OnePlus Nord 2 5G.

Specifications:

Display: a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display
Processor – MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC
Ram: 6 GB/12 GB
Storage: 128 GB /256 GB
Battery : 4500mAh

Compared to the old Nord 2 5G, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G also carries a 90Hz AMOLED display. And similarities include triple rear cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery as well. The new OnePlus Nord 2T is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and  MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC with the old Nord 2. Nord 2T carries 80W fast charging and got an upgrade from the 65W charging. The main competitors of the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G are Motorola Edge 30, Samsung Galaxy A33 5G,  iQoo Neo 6, Poco F4 5G, and Mi 11X.

The Nord 2T holds the triple rear camera setup that mounted a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens that carries optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. The camera setup includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter with a field-of-view of 120 degrees and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.2 lens.

Price:

Rs. 28,999  – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage

Rs. 33,999  – 12GBRAM + 256GB storage

Launch offers:

All eyes are on a new smartphone and that’s the Nothing Phone (1). Nothing recently revealed the design of its first different smartphone the Nothing phone (1). As per the revealed image its sports a transparent back panel with dual cameras and light strips on the camera covering area and some other areas in the back panel.

The Nothing phone (1) has a flat transparent design at the back panel and with the antenna lines on the frame confirming it’s a metal build. Also, we can see the smartphone has the power button on the right side of the frame, and volume keys located on the left. At the bottom, we can spot the USB-C port, a speaker grille, and a microphone. And the Nothing phone (1) will be launched on July 12.

Specifications:

Nothing now confirms that the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ premium mid-range SoC.
